I really like the things they have at Old Navy. Check the clearance rack; my fave preggers top was on clearance there!

I have several boxes of maternity clothes that are just taking up space. I don’t need them anymore. What is the best way to get rid of them? I would prefer to sell them (since we spent so much money on them). Would it be easier to sell them piece by piece, or by the box?
The clothes span all seasons (tanks and shorts as well as jeans and sweaters). They are Med / Large (sizes 10-14). Should I divide them up by season and size, too?

Most baby consignment shops also have maternity clothes and they’ll pay you for them. Once upon a Child is a nation wide chain that may be in your area. You can also drop them off at a women’s shelter or donate them. I think maternity clothes are hard to come by there.

Ok so I’m a teenage girl never been pregnant and no plans on getting pregnant in the near future, but sometimes I am tempted to buy maternity clothes that I like when they don’t have them in the main collection of the shop. Does anyone else do this or want to? Please tell me what you think and how it would fit. Btw I am a size 10 so would buying a size smaller in maternity work?

Without the belly, the pants will slip down and you will need to constantly adjust them. I learned this the hard way after accidentally bringing a pair of maternity pants to change into at work after having my last child. My pants were falling down all night. Most of the tops would look odd in the belly too I would think. But, you can do as you wish. Try them on, that wold be the only way to know how they fit.

I am 16 weeks pregnant, and think it’s time to start getting some maternity clothes. I am due August 26th, so it’s going to be super hot the last three months.

What are some clothes I won’t be able to live without? What clothes will be unnecesary and a waste of my money? What about living in sundresses in the summer? They look comfortable.

Sundresses are a great option! Just be sure to stick to cotton when at all possible. Not only does it breathe really well but it is less irritating to your skin. The last two – three months of my pregnancy, I couldn’t wear anything synthetic because it made me itch uncontrollably. Cotton was the only thing I could stand.

they didnt have maternity clothes ( 95% sure) lol they just wore the normal clothes they did before.

I feel odd wearing my maternity clothes already because I’m only 9 wks but regular pants mess with my stomach and my regular shirts are too short for the maternity pants. Is it totally odd for a non-pregnant looking person to start wearing her pregnancy clothes?

I started around 12 weeks. I was not showing but things did not fit and they were really uncomfortable – I also bought a bella band. Now I’m 21 weeks and I have no choice but to wear maternity clothes. When I shop for them I see many many women in the stores who aren’t really *showing* but are buying clothes. Don’t feel weird you will eventually really need them and be happy you have them.
